Trenkwalder, actively looking for a Senior Placement Broker / Underwriter to join a specialized Insurance Brokerage Firm, providing services to businesses of all sizes who seek bespoke solutions for their insurance requirements.

 

              Placement Broker – Underwriter / Commercial Lines

 

                               Responsibilities

·         Review questionnaires and insurance policies

·         Risk analysis and mitigation

·         Assess clients’ needs to provide favourable contractual terms

·         Liaise with specialists to gather information

·         Set up slips, defining insurance terms and conditions on risks

·         Weight loss exposures & deliver innovative solutions

·         Negotiate with underwriters

·         Keep detailed records of policies underwritten

·         Support brokers presenting Quotes to clients

·         Reassess on renewal terms 

 

                            Requirements and skills

·         Proven insurance underwriting experience

·         Proven track record in Commercial Lines placement

·         Knowledge of insurance market and policies

·         Certification A (Bank of Greece)

·         Expertise on Commercial lines (Property, Liabilities, Engineering, Cargo, Group Health Insurance, etc.)

·         Hands-on experience with “smart systems”, analytical tools and statistical packages (spreadsheets, databases etc)

·         Sensible judgement and attention to detail

·         Confident decision making skills

·         BS in Finance, Insurance, or related field

·         Excellent knowledge of English
